Jared Shumate

Service Description

He is a 2022 Winter Olympian, Red Bull 400 winner, and World Championship competitor who spent over a decade pushing the limits of the Nordic Combined World Cup. Growing up in Park City, he was on skis at two, dedicated to Nordic Combined by nine, and done with high school at 16. While most teenagers were figuring out their lives, Jared was attending the University of Utah full-time, supporting himself financially, and training as a full-time athlete. His former coach called him "one of the hardest working athletes" . Shaped by elite coaches and competitive environments throughout his career, Jared has a real appreciation for what it actually takes to develop as an athlete — the process, the grind, the long view. That perspective is the foundation of his coaching along with a fun sense of humor. His favorite fruit is the peach. When he's not coaching, he’s exploring the mountains and entering 200 miler lotteries cause why not.
